Welcome to The Great Indian OTT Writing Challenge, a one-of-a-kind theme-based contest where your story could become the next OTT sensation. We're looking for adaptation-ready concepts — the kind of stories that can be developed into gripping web series for India's top OTT platforms.

📝 What to Submit?

Participants must submit the following:

• A logline – A 1–2 line hook that captures the essence of your story (max 50–100 words)
• A synopsis – A detailed 750-1500 word summary that outlines your plot, tone, and characters
• Character Sketches – Brief write-ups describing the key characters and their arcs

All submissions must align with one of the 4 official contest themes.

🎭 Official Themes

Choose one theme and craft your story accordingly:

1. Slice of Life

   Tell simple, heartfelt stories rooted in everyday life. Think family, friendships, small-town charm, or personal struggles.

   Examples: Panchayat, Gullak

2. Procedural Drama

   Focus on smart, character-driven narratives involving investigation, law, medicine, or tech. Your protagonist should solve high-stakes problems.

   Examples: CID, House

3. Based on True Events

   Adapt real incidents into compelling fiction. Capture the emotional and societal weight of what truly happened.

   Examples: Delhi Crime, Scam 1992

4. Land Mafia & Underworld

   Dive into the raw world of power, crime, betrayal, and politics. Let your morally complex characters navigate lawless systems.

   Examples: Gangs of Wasseypur, Peaky Blinders

🧠 Submission Steps

All entries must be written and submitted on VED — an advanced writing tool by Mugafi.

1. Log in to your VED dashboard using your registered email ID
2. Click on ‘Create New Project’ and select ‘Script’ as the project type
3. Write your logline, synopsis, and character sketches
4. Click on ‘Share’ → choose ‘For Contest’ → select The Great Indian OTT Writing Challenge
5. Click ‘Submit to Contest’
